Director of Human Resources
Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority
Under the general direction of the President, this position is responsible for the overall direction of activities related to defining, developing and directing the implementation of human resource initiatives, including but not limited to recruitment, labor cost management, total rewards systems, compliance, employee relations and HR data/technology for the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority. Position requires the use of discretion, judgment, and collaboration to interpret and apply MKAA, Federal Aviation Administration and other rules, policies, and regulations.
This position has responsibility to supervise support staff. Work requires managing and monitoring work performance of the business unit including evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness and establishing broad organizational goals.
Bachelor’s degree in a human resources or a related field, and 5 years of related full-time experience, including 3 years of management experience. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position may be considered. SPHR, CCP, SHRM-SCP or other human resource related certification is preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.
